My first Dalgona Coffee

Dalgona coffee, me version 🙂

Second attempt, and I made it!

For several weeks, this coffee variant showed up and become popular. Introduced by South Korean actor, Jung Il Woo -which is my sister idol- when he visited Macao, and tried the food and drink at one traditional stall.

He was inspired by the coffee served by the seller. Later when he returned to South Korea, he made and shared his “Dalgona trial” through his social media. Afterwards, it became a huge and positive blast! Indonesia is affected, and so do I 🙂

Let’s give it a try.

Here is the result, my version. Using instant coffee (Nescafe classic), sugar and hot water, all in the same ratio 1:1:1. Very easy!

First, put the ingredients into a cup or bowl and whisk it mannually using fork, ensure the sugar and coffee are well blended. Some say, whisk it for 400 times with your hands to have the coffee frothy, and reached creamy texture, it will take around 30 mins. But, using Mixer is helpful, less than 5 minutes it is ready, thick, creamy and brighter color.

Prepare your glass with ice and fresh milk (no flavor) and put coffee mixed on top. If you blend it well, the coffee will be floating. Add the sweetness later to meet your taste.

Feeling lucky in #workfromhome period.

Enjoy!
